MAIDAN CRIMINALS
Project shows the judicial and constitutional system of Ukraine from different perspectives. In this art project I combine scans of the Criminal code of Ukraine that was lawful at the times of ousted Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovich and images that I photographed at Maidan revolution 2013-2014. During these tragic events every protester could be put in prison using different laws and cases from this Crime code. Some protesters were beaten and interrogated in jail, the others just disappeared till nowadays.
Project shows us how vulnerable and helpless people are against the regime. It also raises a question: what is the difference between heroes and criminals? Because the same actions could be considered heroic and criminal at the same time.
